Live from Carpenter’s Hall: The Founding of Pennsylvania and the Legacy of the Pa. Constitution

In the days ahead of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Pennsylvania officially declared its freedom and became a commonwealth based on a delegation that met beginning on June 18, 1776 at Carpenters’ Hall. 

On the 250th anniversary of that occasion, we invite you to join WHYY’s Studio 2 for a live broadcast event at Carpenters’ Hall about how Pennsylvania’s constitution came to be, the debates around it at the time, how it influenced the U.S. Constitution, and how the document has endured to the present day.
