You are invited to an in-depth conversation at the Mütter Museum on how a disease outbreak crippled Philly 50 years ago. WHYY Host Maiken Scott leads the conversation on "The Philly Killer: Investigating an Outbreak with The Pulse at WHYY” at the Mütter Museum on May 15. The gathering includes a preview preview of select items to a new exhibition and a discussion exploring how Legionnaires disease spread across Philadelphia during the summer of 1976.

The panel will be moderated by Maiken Scott, host and executive producer of WHYY’s weekly health and science show The Pulse. Panelists include:

This gathering is a special kick-off event to celebrate the Mütter Museum and Historical Medical Library of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia’s new exhibition, The Philly Killer: Legionnaires’ Disease and the Past and Future of Infectious Disease.
Tickets are $10 and include the panel discussion, after-hours Museum access and early access and a preview of select items to The Philly Killer exhibit, as well as light refreshments.
