Becoming American: Philadelphia's Story - Official Premiere and Panel Discussion

Becoming American: Philadelphia's Story explores the founding of the United States through the lens of Philadelphia, America’s first capital. From Indigenous people and enslaved Africans to lawmakers and artisans, the film, from Bear House Media, reveals how diverse communities shaped a new nation. Though rooted in Philadelphia, this is a shared American story whose debates, ideals, and consequences still resonate today.  Please join us for a screening of the film, followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers and hosted by Cherri Gregg - the co-host of WHYY's Studio 2.
