Bridging Blocks | Mummers Festival of Many Colors
Please join us for a discussion hosted by WHYY Bridging Blocks and the Mummers Museum. This event, the Festival of Many Colors, includes a panel and a community conversation with attendees who will share their perspectives on three Philadelphia traditions to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The conversation will address the traditions, challenges and the potential of Mummery as well as the annual Philly Caribbean Carnival and Carnaval de Puebla.
Panelists include Mark Montanaro, curator at the Mummers Museum; Tony Payne, band leader of Kaos Mas Band; and Edgar Ramirez and Olga Renteria, members of the Carnaval de Puebla organizing committee.
