Pa.’s Role in Midterms 2026

The latest polls show Democrats are poised to do well in the 2026 midterms, with odds favoring capturing control of the U.S. House and possibly even the Senate.  It’s a reflection of the headwinds a president’s party historically faces after a general election victory — but also a litmus test on the unpopular war with Iran and surging gas prices.

Less than a week from Election Day, WHYY’s Studio 2 invites you to a live event at the Newtown Theatre in Bucks County for a thoughtful discussion about what’s at stake in the midterms and the latest on the local races that could swing the balance of power in Congress.

Special guests include former Congressman Charlie Dent (R) and former Congressman Conor Lamb (D).
