Michael Days: A Celebration of Life – Join WHYY

The Michael Days Memorial Service takes place on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at WHYY Studios, 150 N. 6th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 191016.

North Philadelphia native Michael I. Days was the former editor of the Philadelphia Daily News. He mentored hundreds of journalists across Greater Philadelphia and impacted the media industry with his leadership. Days passed away suddenly on Oct. 18, 2025 in Trenton. Read his obituary here. 

The gathering is co-hosted by Friends and Family of Michael Days and the NABJ-Philadelphia Chapter. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
