Bridging Blocks | Equity in Public Education  

 

In 2023, a Commonwealth Court Judge ruled that Pennsylvania’s underfunding of school districts is unconstitutional. In response, state lawmakers in 2024 approved more than $1 billion in state funding for K-12 public schools. 

Will the investment be enough to improve student outcomes? What opportunities are being missed to improve Philly schools? How do we ensure all students have access to an equitable education?
