Caregiving, a new documentary created with executive producer Bradley Cooper, highlights the challenges and triumphs of caregiving in America.
Join WHYY, Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Disability Pride Pennsylvania for a screening and panel discussion around the documentary film Caregiving. The event will begin with a resource fair and reception with community organizations sharing valuable information and support services.
Host and Moderator:
Marty Moss-Coane, host and executive producer of The Connection, a weekly show on WHYY-FM featuring wide-ranging conversations about what makes us human. For thirty five years, Marty was the host and executive producer of Radio Times, one of the most respected weekday interview programs on regional radio.
Featured Panelists:
Barack Goodman, Producer of the documentary film CAREGIVING, and is the co-founder of Ark Media and a principal producer, director, and writer with the company. Over a career spanning more than two decades, his films have won multiple Peabody, Emmy, Writers Guild Awards, the DuPont-Columbia Awards, and the RFK Journalism Prize, and been nominated for an Oscar.
Nia Tate Ball, founder of the Legacy Empowerment Foundaton and Executive Producer of the film "Renegades, Building a Legacy: The Celestine Tate-Harrington Story," which chronicles her mother's extraordinary life, a quadriplegic who fought valiantly and successfully to regain custody of Nia despite societal prejudices.
