Bridging Blocks:
Early Childhood Sex Education

"Back in June, Philadelphia hosted the national summit for the far-right organization, Moms for Liberty. One of the pressing issues discussed at the summit involved sex education for youth. Florida Governor Ron Desantis spoke to the crowd, saying he'd ban gender and sexuality discussions in the classroom. Attendees describe these ideas as ones that protect children, with one activist explaining that parents should decide how to educate their children on these topics, rather than government or school boards. Opponents say having age-appropriate conversations with students of all ages is important. Join WHYY and Chestnut Hill Library to discuss how young is too young to have sex education, and what should be taught based on the age level."
