WHYY Presents: The WHYY Lifting Voices in Praise Finale!

In February 2024, WHYY-TV 12 (PBS) will air “Gospel” with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. which explores African American religion’s two transcendent gifts to national and world culture: Gospel music and the Black preaching tradition. In honor of this new series, the WHYY Lifting Voices in Praise showcase and competition was created to highlight local talent and bring together musicians from across southeastern Pa., southern NJ and Delaware. We received 50 entries, 18 contestants advanced to the semi-finals and those with the highest score were selected to perform in the grand finale where our Grand Judges will select the winners.

Event tickets are FREE, with a "Pay-What-You-Wish" option with proceeds going to support WHYY programming. 

The Esperanza Arts Center has a free secure parking lot.
