Check, Please! is a new local show on WHYY-TV. Each episode features three guests who are local diners, not professional restaurant critics, offering up their reviews of restaurants in the Delaware Valley. Each guest chooses their favorite restaurant and the other two guests visit that restaurant anonymously. After trying all three recommended restaurants, the guests come on the show to discuss, dispute, and celebrate their dining experiences.
We're looking for guests to feature on our upcoming season. If you have an appetite for Philly food, a passion for can't-miss-plates in South Jersey, or a must-taste place you're dying to share in Delaware, we want to hear from you! Complete the form below in as much detail as possible.
Our guests must be 21 years or older to participate. You should be willing to travel to WHYY's studio in Philadelphia for the taping of the show. The taping of the show will be scheduled on a weekday and can take up to four hours. You also may be required to travel 50 miles or more to visit restaurants. Applicants cannot be affiliated with any of their suggested restaurants and national chains will not be considered. Submissions will be reviewed by a WHYY producer on an on-going basis. If selected to move on the casting process, you will be contacted via phone or email.
Remember, the more expressive and detailed you are on this form, the more likely it is that you will be considered as a guest. We love hearing about restaurants that are off the beaten path -- the more interesting the locale or cuisine, the better! We can't wait to hear about YOUR favorite restaurant, supper club, diner, lunch cafe, hole-in-the-wall, food truck, and beyond!
